
Swansea Level II: Under Pressure - Bringing Mindfulness to Stress and Anxiety - Summer 2015
How do we know we are under pressure? What does it feel like in the body, the mind, emotionally? What are its effects and distortions upon our wellbeing? How is it to loosen the parts of us that have ‘drawn tight’, and to cultivate the softer, more spacious elements in our experience? Can we apply these processes skilfully in our lives? Since we cannot outrun or control the causes of stress, can we instead learn to better be with the effects, without abandoning ourselves or falling into patterns of denial, avoidance or overwhelm?
